About MES

The Meta Esports Show (MES) is a prominent international exhibition for the metaverse and esports entertainment industry. It is organized by the China Video Industry Association, SciLinks Exhibition Co Ltd, and Trust Exhibition Co Ltd, and co-sponsored by the Virtual Reality and Digital Character Branch of the China Video Industry Association, the ZhongGuanCun Vision Stereoscopic Information Industry Alliance, and Esports Entertainment Asia.

Make sure to mark your calendars for MES 2024, which will take place from February 26th to 28th, 2024, at the Shenzhen (Futian) Convention & Exhibition Center. This year's theme is "Explore LED displays and its verticals: Visual + Audio + Metaverse + Esports." The event aims to bring together government policy makers, esports event organizers, metaverse technology providers, application scenario providers, research institutions, investors, and other participants to provide a platform for technology exchange and commercial trade in the metaverse industry.

MES 2024 will focus on the metaverse industry chain by gathering innovative enterprises to support industry reconstruction and promote industry development. The exhibition will cover various terminal devices, including VR/AR/MR, OEM/ODM, optical modules, display packaging, display materials, chip design and production, performance equipment, metaverse applications in industries such as tourism and industrial sectors, digital people, virtual beings, esports monitors and peripherals, event stage lighting and audio, and other technical fields. By showcasing metaverse infrastructure, application deployment, experience channels, technologies, products, and integrated solutions, MES 2024 will demonstrate the practical applications and broader commercial opportunities of metaverse technologies in esports entertainment, virtual offices, commercial retail, virtual filming, brand marketing, events, education, and social applications. The event aims to facilitate business exchanges and transactions between metaverse technology providers and application developers.

Significance of MES 2024

① MES 2024 is held in response to China's action plan for the metaverse

In August 2023, various government departments in China released an Action Plan for Innovation and Development of the Metaverse Industry. The primary objective of the plan is to create an industrial metaverse that will empower the manufacturing industry and encourage the development of various metaverse applications such as metaverse life and entertainment, public services, and emergency support. The plan also involves fostering internationally influential enterprises, deepening international cooperation, creating industrial development agglomeration areas, and promoting the high-quality development of the metaverse industry.

According to McKinsey's research report, 79% of active consumers in virtual worlds have made purchases, and the potential economic value of the metaverse may reach $5 trillion by 2030. Domestic professional reports show that China's metaverse upstream and downstream industries have a total output value of over CNY 400 billion, and the domestic metaverse market is expected to exceed CNY 200 billion in the next five years.

As the global metaverse industry evolves at an accelerated pace, MES 2024 will assist enterprises in seizing opportunities, collaborating with others, and joining the train of industrial development upgrading.

② MES 2024 connects the VR/AR/MR industry chain and provides an integrated industrial procurement platform

To facilitate effective connections within the VR/AR/MR industry chain and provide an integrated industrial procurement platform, MES 2024 will leverage the organizers' industry resources and advantages. Led by the Micro Display Working Group and the VR/AR Working Group, the initiative will bring together key industry players, including leading enterprises from the upstream, midstream, and downstream sectors of the VR/AR/MR industry.

The expo will feature a wide range of products and services, such as integrated and modular devices, ODM/OEM services, optical modules, display packaging, display materials, chip design and production, performance equipment, and other related offerings along the industry chain. By integrating industry resources and taking advantage of the economic hub of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, this event aims to foster collaborative development among upstream, midstream, and downstream companies, as well as establish partnerships between domestic and international enterprises in terms of production and sales.

③ MES 2024 is an extension of the world's preeminent LED exhibition

MES 2024 will co-locate with UDE 2024, LED CHINA 2024, PALS Asia 2024, and AUDIO-VISUAL INTELLIGENCE INTEGRATED SYSTEM EXHIBITION 2024. The event aims to extend the complete product chain of the LED, focusing on the display sector. It provides an integrated platform for various businesses, including commercial display, laser projection, LED displays, lighting and sound systems, audiovisual system integration, digital signage, semiconductor materials and equipment, new display technologies, silicon-based micro-displays, VR/AR/XR/MR/3D, digital twins, artificial intelligence, spatial interaction, and all kinds of equipment and supporting products that are used in metaverse and esports activities and events.

In the 2023 edition, numerous exhibitors have already showcased their various display technologies and interactive applications in the metaverse and esports field, including TCL, Hisense, Leyard, Hikvision, BOE, Skyworth, Samsung, ACME, Soundking, d&b, DiGiCo, YAMAHA, and many others. The event has welcomed professional buyers from 88 countries and regions, totaling 30,901 people.
